A solar inverter converts DC electricity from your roof panels into 230V AC electricity your home can use. It also manages the connection to the grid, monitors generation, and shuts down safely when the grid fails. Inverter replacement involves safely de-energising the existing unit, disconnecting AC and DC wiring, removing the old inverter, mounting the new unit, reconnecting cabling, configuring the new inverter to match your panel array, commissioning the system, and testing output. Where the replacement is a different brand or higher capacity, string configuration may need adjustment.
